    We’re seeking an I&C Engineering Professional - Associate Level to be based in Reston, VA and various unanticipated worksites in the US.

    In this role, you’ll:

    Under minimum guidance of senior engineers: Lead PLC/HMI programming support for water and wastewater clients in the VA/MD/DC area. Utilize and develop and commission PLC databases; develop PLC code; work with HMI software and programming. Managing procurement of SCADA parts and supplies through a PO with a supply house. Markup and preparation of red-line as-built drawings, miscellaneous project assistance as directed. Design electrical control panels and Ethernet communication networks. Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work in a fastpaced team environment. Troubleshoot and resolve problems which arise during construction / installation / start up. Work will be conducted in Jacobs offices and at local client sites.

     

    Telecommuting / Hybrid schedule is allowed.

    REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 3 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation.

     

    In Lieu of the requirements listed above, employer will accept: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 5 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation.

     

    SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/ knowledge of: ALLEN-BRADLEY CONTROLLOGIX, COMPACTLOGIX, MICROLOGIX, MICRO800, SLC, AND PLC5 PLC PROGRAMMING SKILLS. FACTORYTALK SITE EDITION AND MACHINE EDITION HMI PROGRAMMING SKILLS. WINCC HMI PROGRAMMING SKILLS. AutoCAD, BlueBeam, MicroStation. BluePrints. P&ID. Control Systems Design. Water / WasteWater experience.
