Job Title: Laboratory Sample CoordinatorJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Sample Coordinator to manage the sorting and labeling of samples based on specific client requirements. This role involves efficient data entry and maintaining sample information in our computer database.

Responsibilities

+ Sort and label samples according to specific client requirements.

+ Efficiently and accurately input sample information into a computer database.

+ Ensure accurate entry of information for all in-house projects, including test codes and project references.

+ Investigate and resolve outstanding issues through departmental collaboration.

+ Receive and interact with clients in a friendly and approachable manner.

+ Adhere to quality systems, QA/QC, SOP's, and external accreditation requirements.

+ Comply with safety policies.

+ Ensure 'Good Housekeeping' standards are met or exceeded.

+ Perform any other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in data input and computer skills.

+ Experience with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

+ Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.

+ Attention to detail and ability to manage a diverse workload.

+ Strong prioritization, time management, decision making, planning, and organizing skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.

+ Experience in a laboratory environment is an asset.

+ Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

+ Friendly demeanor and a commitment to a team-oriented, positive approach.

Work Environment

The position is based in a laboratory environment, operating Monday through Friday on the first shift from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Zurich, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
