What You’ll Do
As a Land Development Designer, you’ll be at the heart of transforming raw land into thriving neighborhoods and commercial spaces. Your responsibilities will include:
+ Crafting detailed construction documents for civil infrastructure—site plans, profiles, erosion control, stormwater systems, and more.
+ Designing underground utility layouts: chilled/hot water, steam, power systems, domestic water, and sanitary sewer.
+ Developing site layouts for large-scale mechanical and electrical systems, including grading and stormwater management.
+ Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
+ Leveraging AutoCAD Civil 3D to bring your designs to life.
+ Conducting site visits to assess existing conditions and monitor construction progress.
+ Supporting due diligence, research, design development, and project submittals.
+ Acting as a bridge between design staff and Project Managers.
+ Preparing clear, compelling design reports to communicate your vision.
What You Bring
+ Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
+ Solid experience in land and site development.
+ Deep understanding of grading, stormwater management, and subdivision design.
+ A degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
+ 3+ years of hands-on experience in civil site design and project coordination.
+ Expertise in designing water/sewer mains, mass grading, roadway design, erosion control, and storm drainage.
+ Familiarity with surveying principles, construction techniques, and regulatory requirements.
+ PE or EIT certification—or actively working toward it.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
We are a comprehensive engineering and consulting firm based in Raleigh, seeking an established Land Surveying Project Manager. Our firm has a rich heritage and long-standing reputation for providing exceptional engineering, design, and surveying services dating back to the 1950s. We offer services in structural, geo-structural, and civil engineering; surveying and mapping; and site planning and landscape architecture. This position offers high growth potential and the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities within our growing firm.
