Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare providers and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients. Your responsibilities will encompass both clinical and administrative tasks, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare patients for visits by taking vital signs, reconciling medications, and reviewing medical history.

+ Perform in-office testing, including EKGs, blood draws, oxygen studies, and mental status exams.

+ Administer vaccines and injections as needed.

+ Assist with medical procedures such as suture removal, casting, and ultrasound therapy.

+ Document patient information accurately in the Epic EMR system.

+ Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate comprehensive care plans.

+ Close care gaps by managing screenings and diabetic eye exams.

+ Support patient communications and facilitate referrals.

Essential Skills

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Active Medical Assistant certification

+ Strong communication and documentation abilities

+ Familiarity with Epic and Athena EMR systems

+ Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced clinic environment

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 1+ years of experience in a similar role preferred

+ Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes

+ Proficiency in patient care and customer service

+ Skills in appointment scheduling and medical assisting

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kingfisher, Oklahoma.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
