Job Title: VEV EMC Technician
Job Description
Join our team as a EMC Technician, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the maintenance, calibration, and quality system technical resources to ensure the readiness of our EMC facility for Product Development testing. Engage with customers to understand their test objectives, develop test strategies, and collect/analyze data to meet their needs.
Responsibilities
+ Support maintenance, calibration, and quality system technical resources to ensure EMC facility readiness.
+ Interface with customers to understand test objectives, develop test strategies, and collect/analyze data.
+ Support efficiency improvement actions including test automation and lights-out testing strategies.
+ Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting processes for test system issues, test instrumentation, and facility infrastructure.
+ Stay up to date on related test standards and develop updated or new test methods as required.
+ Develop and enforce safe plans of action for all test and facility activities.
+ Collaborate with Environmental, Health, & Safety representatives to ensure compliance with guidelines.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of EMC laboratory experience with technical aptitude in EMC testing, electrical instrumentation, and electrical system diagnostics.
+ Knowledge of EMC RF generation systems, amplifier operation, antennas, RF cabling, fiber optic instrumentation, EMC chambers, and vehicle test laboratory infrastructure.
+ Understanding of vehicle subsystems, including active cruise, lane departure warning systems, anti-lock brakes, RKE, and infotainment connected services.
+ Strong diagnostic skills related to test system instrumentation and vehicle diagnostics.
+ Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in EMC test processes and ISO laboratory quality system maintenance.
+ Understanding of international EMC test methodologies including L-410, EU 2008/108, Regulation 10.4, and ISO standards.
+ In-depth knowledge of CAN diagnostic and flashing tools like DET tool and Canalyzer.
+ Experience with NEXIO EMC test control system software.
+ Strong technical writing skills.
+ Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to present to large groups.
+ Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing requirements.
+ Customer-focused communicator with a flexible work schedule.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of DEARBORN, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
