This role supports routine analytical requests within the Measurement Science team.

**Pay** $25-27.8/hr depending on experience

**Duration:** 6 months contract with the potential for extension and more based on performance and needs

Job Description:

The Laboratory Technician will conduct chemical and physical tests on solids, liquids, and gases to support research and development, quality control, environmental compliance, and process improvement initiatives. This role plays a critical part in generating reliable data used in scientific decision-making and product development.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Conduct laboratory tests according to standard procedures to perform both qualitative and quantitative analyses.

+ Optimize laboratory workflows to produce consistent and actionable results.

+ Handle sensitive laboratory equipment for sample analysis and testing, ensuring accurate reporting of findings to the Laboratory Manager.

+ Receive, label, and analyze incoming samples.

+ Perform routine experiments under defined conditions using established scientific methods.

+ Observe, interpret, and document test results, maintaining high standards of accuracy.

+ Safely store all chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases in accordance with safety protocols.

+ Record data and maintain comprehensive documentation in both paper and digital formats.

+ Maintain laboratory equipment and assist with inventory management and supply ordering.

+ Follow all safety regulations and contribute to maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.

Qualifications:

+ Educational background or experience in Chemistry, Mechanical Testing, Analytical Science, or a related field.

+ Knowledge of laboratory techniques, terminology, materials, and equipment.

+ Proficiency in operating laboratory instruments and performing statistical calculations.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to document and communicate findings effectively.

**Pay Details:** $25.00 to $27.80 per hour
