    Facilities Manager

     

    Pay: 90,000-110,000/Year

     

    Shift: 6am-2:30pm

    LocationJob Description

    The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's environmental, safety, and health standards with support from a third-party consulting group. They ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, while also implementing and maintaining preventative maintenance processes. This role includes managing facility projects and working Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional weekend on-call duties as needed.

    Responsibilities

    + Design and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance strategy to optimize facility operations.

    + Oversee routine maintenance activities to enhance equipment reliability and extend asset lifespan.

    + Integrate inventory control systems into maintenance workflows to ensure parts availability and reduce downtime.

    + Manage budgets and schedules for maintenance tasks and related capital projects.

    + Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and complies with regulatory requirements.

    + Lead Job Safety Analyses in partnership with the Operations Manager to proactively identify and mitigate risks.

    + Act as the primary site contact for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives.

    + Conduct regular facility inspections and ensure timely resolution of corrective actions.

    + Direct both preventative and post-incident safety measures to maintain a safe working environment.

    + Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, EPD, and other regulatory bodies.

    + Manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all chemicals used on-site.

    + Collaborate with the Lab Manager to develop and enforce environmentally responsible material handling procedures.

    + Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement efficiency improvements.

    + Partner with the General Manager to develop and manage capital expenditure plans and budgets.

    + Supervise maintenance and facilities teams, fostering performance, accountability, and professional development.

    + Direct maintenance lead responsibilities in alignment with building codes, safety regulations, and operational standards.

    + Coordinate installation, relocation, dismantling, and foundation work for facility machinery.

    + Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to support infrastructure projects and repairs.

    + Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.

    + Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support facility operations and safety initiatives.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in facilities maintenance and repair.

    + Knowledge of electrical systems, compressors, and hydraulics.

    + Proficiency in troubleshooting and building maintenance.

    + Experience with machine maintenance and EHS programs.

    + Ability to manage Preventative Maintenance Programs.

    + Strong project management skills.

    + Proficiency in using hand tools and CMMS software like FMX.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in developing and implementing preventative maintenance plans.

    + Ability to manage routine preventative maintenance operations.

    + Skill in incorporating inventory control practices into maintenance programs.

    + Experience in creating and managing budgets and schedules for maintenance activities.

    + Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements.

    + Experience in conducting Job Safety Analyses.

    + Experience in preparing capital plans and budgets.

    + Leadership skills in supervising maintenance and facilities teams.
