Maintenance Assistant -- $21 per hour -- 1st Shift -- Weekly Pay

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Assistant where you will work independently at our facility, providing essential support to our maintenance technician. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing gears and bearings, while also performing preventative maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

+ Assist the maintenance technician in daily tasks.

+ Perform preventative maintenance on machinery.

+ Work on gears and bearings to ensure smooth operations.

+ Operate hand and power tools effectively.

+ Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.

+ Maintain facilities by ensuring all equipment is in good working order.

Essential Skills

+ 1+ year experience in a warehouse or production environment.

+ 1+ year experience repairing bearings and gears.

+ Mechanical aptitude with experience in machine operation and production assembly.

+ Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment.

+ Capable of standing for 8-10 hours a day.

+ Ability to lift 75 lbs independently.

Work Environment

Work in a heated facility that is not cooled, where temperatures can rise during hot weather. The environment is loud due to running machines, but clean, as you will be dealing with cardboard. The dress code includes jeans or pants, a t-shirt, and layers as needed, with steel or composite toe shoes. Personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and hearing protection is provided. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 5 am to 3 pm, with potential Saturday shifts from 7 am to 4 pm, required up to 25% of the time.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
