Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
This position will be situated in the metal fabrication department within the manufacturing facility. The role requires operating various metal fabrication machinery, including CNC press brake, CNC turret press, CNC shear, and CNC punch press. The operator will be assigned to a single machine throughout the day and will manage it independently. Responsibilities include bending, shaping, punching, and cutting metal to precise specifications by reading blueprints and using a tape measure. Loading and unloading the machine by hand is also required.
Responsibilities
+ Operate CNC machinery including press brake, turret press, shear, and punch press.
+ Bend, shape, punch, and cut metal according to specifications.
+ Read and interpret blueprints and measurements accurately.
+ Load and unload machinery manually.
+ Ensure quality and precision in metal fabrication tasks.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in CNC machine operation.
+ Manufacturing and production experience
+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and using a tape measure.
+ Skilled in operating press brake and shear machinery.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience as a Press Brake Operator, Shear Operator, Turret Press Operator, or Punch Press Operator.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Work Environment

Safety is a priority, with protective gear such as safety shoes, safety glasses, and earplugs required due to the noise levels around CNC machinery. The environment is dynamic, involving interaction with forklifts and other manufacturing machinery.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
