Job Title: Mech & Robotics Tech (Amazon RME)

Job Description

As a Mechanical and Robotics Technician, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining material handling equipment, such as conveyors. You will perform preventative maintenance routines, document procedures, and conduct battery changes and maintenance. Additionally, you will troubleshoot equipment issues, manage inventory, and track spare parts.

Responsibilities

+ Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment.

+ Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.

+ Perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries.

+ Enter downtime data in daily logs and complete PM sheets.

+ Possess electrical knowledge of basic components.

+ Troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment.

+ Track and store department inventory, including spare parts.

Essential Skills

+ Industrial maintenance

+ Knowledge of conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics, and motors

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum of 6 months experience in equipment maintenance within the last 2 years.

+ Experience in Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Industrial industries preferred.

+ Secondary experience in Automotive, Military, or Industrial Facilities Maintenance industries.

+ Preferred candidates have an associate degree from a technical school, apprenticeship, certifications, or military training related to maintenance field.

Work Environment

You will work in a large distribution facility featuring high-speed, automated, and robotic components. Candidates should be comfortable with their performance being tracked by data and must be okay with walking up to 10,000 steps per day. All candidates must be open to working any 10-hour shift, as positions are available across all shifts.

This is a Contract position based out of Bondurant, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.
