    Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a knowledgeable Facilities Maintenance Technician with experience in commercial facility maintenance. This role requires expertise in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks, and involves independent work at various client locations.

    Responsibilities

    + Electrical: Replace light bulbs and ballasts, rewire light fixtures for LED compatibility, replace outlets and switches, and manage outdoor lighting.

    + Plumbing: Perform toilet installations and repairs, use commercial toilet snakes, replace water shutoff valves and faucets, and work with PVC and copper.

    + Carpentry: Conduct minor door repairs, adjust and replace door closures, repair ceramic tiles and grout, and perform basic drywall repairs.

    + Other Duties: Collaborate with other departments as needed and manage light travel requirements throughout southeastern Wisconsin with occasional overnight stays.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience.

    + 2+ years of commercial experience.

    + 2+ years of HVAC, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, carpentry, drywall, and painting skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + A technical diploma in mechanical or facilities is preferred, but not required.

    Work Environment

     

    This position operates on a 1st shift schedule, generally from 8 am to 5 pm. Travel is required to customer sites within an hour’s distance, with occasional trips being further than that. A company vehicle and necessary tools are provided. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes, jeans, and a plain t-shirt or polo shirt. Some sites may require additional PPE. The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and performing tasks on ladders and overhead.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Bend, Wisconsin.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
