Job Title: Heat Treat Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Heat Treat Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating vacuum furnaces, including freezers and quench tanks, and ensuring that all processes meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure quality meets ARP-1962 and customer specifications.
+ Operate vacuum furnaces, including freezer and quench tanks.
+ Mix and apply slurry on parts and components.
+ Verify calibration stickers and tooling to ensure specifications.
+ Perform visual inspection on braze joints before and after heat treating.
+ Conduct Rockwell Inspection on parts or test samples.
+ Complete all associated paperwork and job functions.
+ Stack parts in baskets and verify cleanliness before loading into ovens.
+ Monitor equipment and adjust controls to maintain specified temperatures.
+ Record data from each run and perform preventative maintenance.
+ Apply braze parts for aerospace components as per print.
+ Maintain a clean work area at all times.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with heat treat processes, including Aluminum and Vacuum Heat Treat.
+ Ability to perform inspections and apply slurry.
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ 0-5 years of experience for Level 1 or 5+ years for Level 3.
+ Capability to learn computer programming for controls.
+ Dexterity to handle small, delicate parts.
+ Excellent communication and cooperation skills.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Understanding of AHT and VHT processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Entry-level position with basic skills to perform routine tasks.
+ Ability to work with supervision or under defined procedures.
+ Certifications in Rockwell, Conductivity, TYS (3 years), and Hotwork.
+ Ability to drive and operate a forklift.

Work Environment
This position operates on a 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, from 5:30 AM to 2 PM. The physical demands include regular communication, using hands and arms, and occasional exposure to fumes or chemicals. The noise level is moderate, and you must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities such as close vision and depth perception are required.

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $54080.00/yr.
