    Job Title: Technician - Semiconductor Industry

    Job Description

    We are seeking multiple skilled Technicians to join our dynamic team. This role involves operating and maintaining various systems and equipment across multiple disciplines, including HVAC, piping, and instrumentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety and professionalism, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate equipment from both field and remote control rooms.

    + Perform breakdown and preventative maintenance.

    + Execute LOTO procedures and shutdown/startup protocols.

    + Commission heavy equipment and systems.

    + Work in elevated environments using fall protection and harnesses.

    + Communicate via 2-way radio across teams.

    + Conduct walkdowns and inspections of HVAC pipes and ducts.

    + Verify connections, torque marks, and pipe supports against P&ID drawings.

    + Identify missing components such as check valves.

    + Install and maintain DX refrigeration systems, dampers, valves, and ductwork.

    + Collaborate with hybrid HVAC teams and engineering support.

    + Perform hands-on work with steam traps, strainers, and bag filters.

    + Conduct inspections and repairs using tools.

    + Walk loops and perform loop checks.

    + Work with low-voltage systems and various instrumentation types.

    + Read and interpret SOPs, schematics, and technical drawings.

    + Collaborate with contractors and GCs to bring equipment online.

    + Install, configure, and calibrate instrumentation systems such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level.

    + Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on instrumentation and control equipment.

    + Diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and software and implement timely solutions.

    + Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, calibrations, and repairs.

    + Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to optimize system performance.

    + Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency with diagnostic tools, calibration equipment, and control systems.

    + Strong understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

    + Excellent communication skills to effectively share information with team members and supervisors.

    + Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

    + Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration, with the ability to work well in diverse teams.

    + High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

    + Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and procedures.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in trade in HVAC, Instrumentation, Piping, or Mechanical trade in a commercial environment.

    + Ability to climb stairs, work on roofs, and perform outdoor tasks for extended hours.

    + Certifications such as OSHA10, EPA 608, and relevant trade licenses preferred.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a large warehouse environment where in-warehouse transportation is provided. Be prepared to be on your feet most of the day in a setting that can be dirty.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Taylor, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $43.00/hr.
