Job Title: Production Worker

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Production Worker, where you will contribute to the creation of top-quality mattresses. You will be working in either the Mattress Assembly, Material Handling, or Quilting department, ensuring that each product meets our high standards.

Responsibilities

+ Work in teams of two in the mattress assembly to apply glue, foam, and build the insides of mattresses to specification.

+ Assemble mattresses using a variety of hand and power tools, including c-ring hog-ring guns, staple guns, and hot glue guns.

+ Layer foam on top of coil units and apply proper upholstery layers to complete mattress assembly.

+ Inspect mattress components and finished units for flaws or defects.

+ Operate sewing machines in the Quilting department to sew fabrics and create pillow tops.

+ Cut and measure materials, ensuring adherence to work instructions.

+ Use push carts to move and stage materials following the quilting process for mattress assembly.

+ Review work instructions and ensure materials are moved to the correct production area.

Essential Skills

+ 1+ years of experience with hand tools and general assembly.

+ Experience working in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment.

+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

+ Ability to read, write, and speak English.

+ High school diploma or GED required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience in manufacturing operations is preferred.

+ Experience with assembly, production, manufacturing, or warehouse environments.

+ Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day or longer during overtime.

Work Environment

You will work in an air-conditioned environment with shifts from 5 am - 2 pm, with the potential for 12-hour shifts depending on volume. Flexibility to work on Saturdays during high season is appreciated. The role involves physical demands typical of a manufacturing setting, including prolonged standing, bending, and lifting. Our facility is committed to Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement, offering a clean and safe work area. Personal Protective Equipment is provided and required for safety.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
