Job Title: Instrument Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Instrumentation Technician to support calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial instrumentation and control systems. This role requires both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams and contribute to a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
+ Install, configure, and calibrate instrumentation systems such as those for pressure, temperature, flow, and level.
+ Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on instrumentation and control equipment.
+ Diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and software and implement timely solutions.
+ Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to support system operations.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, calibrations, and repairs.
+ Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to optimize system performance.
+ Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
+ Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
+ Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
+ Work well in diverse teams and contribute to group success.
+ Pay high attention to detail and commit to quality and safety.
+ Adapt and learn new technologies and procedures.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency with diagnostic tools, calibration equipment, and control systems.
+ Strong understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Strong problem-solving abilities.
+ Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.
+ Familiarity with CMMS software and digital maintenance tracking.
+ Knowledge of industry standards such as ISA, ANSI, and NEC.
+ Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
+ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed.
+ Ability to be detail-oriented and to function with interruptions.
+ Maintain a friendly, helpful, and professional attitude under stress.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive material.
+ Ability to multi-task in a busy environment with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
+ Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English effectively.
+ Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.

Work Environment
The position is based in a large warehouse, with in-warehouse transportation provided. The work involves being on your feet most of the day in a somewhat dirty environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Taylor, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $43.00/hr.
