Job Title: Machine Operator Assistant

Job Description

Responsibilities

+ Learn to safely and efficiently operate various pieces of converting equipment.

+ Effectively learn and apply established quality control procedures.

+ Execute position responsibilities as they pertain to the assigned work center.

+ Read and follow order specification documents.

+ Consistently work to develop or enhance skill set.

+ Effectively work with co-workers and establish a team approach to achieve company goals and expectations.

+ Follow all company rules and policies.

+ Successfully work in multiple areas of the converting plant and perform to expectations.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to read and write English.

+ Mechanically inclined and able to learn new skills within a standard timeline.

+ Comfortable around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment.

+ Ability to mentally and physically perform at a high pace with a sense of urgency while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity.

+ Basic math knowledge and ability to read a tape measure.

+ Strong attention to detail.

+ Ability to work overtime.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ A experience in manufacturing is preferred.

+ Mechanical aptitude and ambition for long-term growth.

+ Strong work ethic with proven reliability in punctuality and attendance.

+ Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.

+ Curious and eager to learn about machines and move up within the company.

+ Experience in a fast-paced, repetitive work environment.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a large facility with varying temperatures, equipped with advanced machinery such as the 112" Multiflute Corrugator, 62" Single Face Laminator, and several die cutters and folder gluers. The position requires flexibility with hours, including occasional mandatory overtime on Fridays. The facility is equipped with a gym and a large break room where food is available for purchase. Employees are required to wear appropriate attire for safety in a manufacturing setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Renton, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.30 - $24.30/hr.
