    Job Title: Production Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and mechanically inclined Production Machinist to join our team in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role involves assisting in the machining of large metal parts, operating 4-axis horizontal mills, and ensuring quality production processes.     Responsibilities

    + Assist in the machining of large metal parts for production.

    + Operate 4-axis horizontal mills effectively.

    + Change inserts, clean, and maintain the work area around the machine.

    + Run production cycles varying from 1 hour to 5 minutes.

    + Ensure precision and accuracy in all machining tasks.

    + Utilize hand tools, calipers, and micrometers for measurement and quality assurance.

    + Prepare and set up production runs, tooling, and fixturing.

    + Operate and manage 24" and 36" grinders, including safety procedures.

    + Adjust machine settings and verify dimensions of stock.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-3 years of machining experience.

    + Mechanical aptitude and interest in becoming a production machinist.

    + Proficiency with hand tools, calipers, and micrometers.

    + Ability to comprehend basic math and measurements down to thousandths.

    + Experience with CNC operation and blueprint reading.

    + Capability to lift 50-75 lbs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in industrial manufacturing and steel production.

    + Familiarity with power tools and precision measurement instruments.

    + Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

    + Experience with production run set-ups and use of tooling and fixtures.

    Work in an open industrial machine shop with open bay doors. The location is approximately 0.5 miles from the headquarters, offering a dynamic and hands-on working environment in Wilsonville, OR. Dress code is casual, suitable for a manufacturing setting.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, Oregon.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
