**Job Title:** Forklift Operator (Construction, Double & Single Forklift)
Job Description
As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating construction forklifts—including double and single forklifts—to transport, lift, and load materials throughout the yard and production area. This role involves supporting daily operations, performing quality checks, and assisting with general equipment handling. Opportunities for growth into advanced machine operation roles are available over time.
Responsibilities
+ Operate construction-grade forklifts (single and double) to move blocks and materials across the yard and production line
+ Load and unload materials with precision, ensuring safety and efficiency
+ Perform quality control checks on transported goods and report any damage or defects
+ Assist with general yard duties including stacking, staging, and organizing materials
+ Support maintenance and troubleshooting of forklift equipment as needed
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in operating various forklift types, including construction, double, and single forklifts
+ Basic mechanical troubleshooting and familiarity with hand/power tools
+ Ability to lift and maneuver items over 75 lbs
+ Comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding environments
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Entry-level role with training provided
+ Prior experience in construction or heavy equipment operation preferred
+ Strong work ethic, reliability, and consistent attendance

Work Environment
Work in a dusty, hot, and physically active yard or block plant. This non-climate-controlled setting requires PPE at all times, including hard hats, ear plugs, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots. Training occurs on first shift for one week, followed by placement on second or third shift. Mandatory Saturdays apply.
+ **First Shift:** 6 AM – 2 PM
+ **Second Shift:** 2 PM – 10 PM
+ **Third Shift:** 10 PM – 6 AM

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
