Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for testing and evaluating Chiller and Controls products (150–550 tons) to ensure optimal performance. This includes assembling, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting control panels and refrigeration systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Control Panel Assembly & Wiring:
Read and follow electrical schematics and instructions.
Install components like circuit breakers, relays, power supplies, and PLCs.
Perform point-to-point wiring and ensure neat, safe routing.
Test panels for functionality and quality before installation.
Troubleshoot and fix wiring or component issues.
System Testing & Troubleshooting:
Conduct performance tests on specific unit types.
Perform pressure tests, evacuation, and refrigerant charging.
Test refrigeration and electrical components.
Assist with mechanical and electrical installations.
Build test rigs and support test plan execution.
Perform noise tests and customer witness tests.
Quality & Safety:
Participate in risk assessments and safety investigations.
Support Technical Support with occasional site visits.
Investigate quality issues using structured problem-solving methods.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer and internal concerns.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
• 1+ years of experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, or a related field.
• Knowledge of pressure testing procedures, leak detection methods, and chiller systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices for electrical work.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, wiring standards, and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision and efficiency.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods in manufacturing environment.
• Experience with PLC wiring and troubleshooting preferred, but not required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.53 - $30.35/hr.
