Job Title: Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. This role involves completing make-ready tasks at the feeder and delivery sections, stacking completed cartons on pallets, assisting with ink installation and equipment operation, and performing required quality checks. The position also requires filling in for the assistant press operator during absences and undertaking housekeeping duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

+ Complete make-ready tasks at feeder and delivery sections.

+ Stack completed cartons on pallets repetitively.

+ Assist with ink installation and equipment operation.

+ Perform required quality checks.

+ Fill in for the assistant press operator during absences.

+ Undertake housekeeping duties and other tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.

+ Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.

+ Skill in writing routine reports and communicating effectively in English, with Spanish as a plus.

+ Competence in performing basic arithmetic and interpreting bar graphs.

+ Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

+ Skill in solving practical problems with limited standardization.

+ Proficiency in interpreting written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.

+ Basic mechanical aptitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Standing for 12-hour shifts.

+ Lifting and carrying 50 lbs.

Work Environment

This role is in a non-climate-controlled, 24/7 facility with approximately 170 employees and 30 temporary staff. The position is on the 1st shift from 6:45 am to 7 pm, with a rotating schedule of 3 days on, 2 days off, followed by 2 days on, and 3 days off. There is an opportunity for overtime. Steel toe boots are required, and gloves, ear plugs, and safety glasses will be provided. Safety is a top priority in our workplace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $19.75/hr.
