    Mechatronics & Robotics Technician - Paying $30.31/hr!

     

    Job Title: Mech & Robotics Technician

    Job Description

    As a Mech & Robotics Technician, you will utilize your expertise to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. Additionally, you will mentor junior technicians to help them grow in their roles.

    Responsibilities

    + Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.

    + Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.

    + Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.

    + Maintain a positive working relationship across all the Amazon Operations facility.

    + Track and store department inventory.

    + Move up to 49lbs, stand, and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.

    + Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment such as conveyors.

    + Perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries.

    + Enter downtime data in daily log and complete PM sheets.

    + Troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment.

    + Track and store the department's inventory, including spare parts.

    Essential Skills

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Ability to work flexible schedules, shifts, areas including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

    + 1 year of experience in PC competency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Associate's or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.

    + 2 years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.

    + 2 years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment.

    + 2 years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.

    + 1 year of experience in metal and wood fabrication.

    + 1 year of experience in blueprint and electrical schematic reading.

    + Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.

    + Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards.

    + Project Management experience.

    + Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

    + Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance.

    + Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.

    Work Environment

     

    Our large distribution facility is equipped with high-speed automation equipment, mostly with robotic components. Candidates should be comfortable with their performance being tracked by data and numbers. The role requires walking 10,000 steps per day and involves repetitive physical activities such as bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 pounds. Shifts are 10 hours, and candidates must be open to working any shift as positions are available for all shifts.

    This is a Contract position based out of Kent, Washington.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.31 - $30.31/hr.
