    Job Title: 3rd Shift Maintenance Supervisor

    Job Description

    Supervise and coordinate the activities of 3rd shift maintenance technicians and electro-mechanics to ensure the efficient operation of bakery production lines.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure timely completion of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues across bakery production lines.

    + Monitor equipment performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

    + Maintain accurate records in CMMS (MP2) and ensure compliance with GMP, OSHA, and food safety standards.

    + Collaborate with production and quality teams to minimize downtime and support operational goals.

    + Train and mentor team members on technical skills, safety protocols, and equipment procedures.

    + Support capital projects and equipment upgrades in coordination with engineering.

    Essential Skills

    + Deep understanding of PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and control panels.

    + Ability to troubleshoot ovens, mixers, conveyors, and packaging lines.

    + Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

    + Experience developing and executing preventive maintenance programs.

    + Ability to analyze failure trends and implement corrective actions.

    + Knowledge of boiler systems, ammonia refrigeration, and HVAC.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.

    + Experience with PLCs, VFDs, conveyors, ovens, mixers, and packaging equipment.

    + Experience in food manufacturing or high-speed production environments preferred.

    + Proficiency in CMMS systems and Microsoft Office.

    + Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and respond to emergency calls as needed.

    + Associate’s degree or technical certification in electromechanical or industrial maintenance preferred.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Brunswick, New Jersey.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
