    Job Title: Mechanic - 2nd shift

    Job Description

    Seeking skilled mechanics to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of cars, trucks, and diesel engine vehicles. Opportunities are available across three levels, offering a chance to work on a variety of vehicles including gas and diesel models such as Cummins, Izuzu, Allison, Chevy, and Ford.

    Responsibilities

    + Class A Mechanics: Perform complete overhauls of diesel and gas trucks, including models like F150, box trucks, semis, tractors, Peterbilts, Internationals, and Freightliners. Responsibilities include tearing down engines and transmissions, handling bearing kits, upper oil pans on diesel engines, brakes, and alignment.

    + Class B Mechanics: Focus on brakes, lights, electrical systems, safety checks, DOT compliance, tune-ups, hanging EGR valves, upper level turbo work, actuator tasks, and software updates on the fleet.

    + Class C Mechanics: Conduct tire rotations, oil changes, preventative maintenance, and pre-delivery inspections.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in diesel troubleshooting, mechanical diagnosis, and repair.

    + Proficiency in electrical systems.

    + Minimum of 1 year as a diesel mechanic.

    + Knowledge of hydraulics, preventive maintenance, automotive repair, pneumatics, and welding.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + At least 1 year of experience as an auto mechanic.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment includes a 2nd shift schedule from 1:30pm to 10pm, Monday through Friday, with no weekend work. The shop is equipped with 24 bays, providing ample space and resources for vehicle maintenance and repair.

    The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
