Packaging Technician

Responsibilities

+ Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and customer requirements in all areas of responsibility.

+ Comply with all safety regulations and conduct all activities in a safe, efficient manner.

+ Perform manual or automated assembly, manufacturing, filling, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceutical products while ensuring adherence to specifications and the highest quality standards.

+ Act as the primary performer of in-process and AQL inspections and other necessary tasks.

+ Perform computer-related tasks to execute necessary duties, including signing into jobs and in-process actions.

+ Participate in the start-up and closure of packaging jobs.

+ Clean packaging rooms and machinery in accordance with SOPs and GMP.

+ Conduct counts of components and drug products, and accept or reject in-process clinical supplies and drug products.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in assembly, GMP, labeling, cleanroom practices, and packaging.

+ Strong hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and attention to detail.

+ Ability to perform repetitive tasks with both hands.

+ Working mathematical skills for counting, adding, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.

+ Ability to interpret 2D diagrams and batch paperwork for proper assembly of clinical supplies.

+ Capability to meet physical requirements including standing continuously, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, squatting, and reaching above shoulder level.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.70 - $19.55/hr.
