Job Title: Crane CDL Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Crane CDL Operator who will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and unloading of materials. This role involves pre-inspecting trucks, loading materials, and ensuring the accuracy of loads. Operators must set up job parameters and inspect sites to ensure a safe environment for unloading.
Responsibilities
+ Pre-inspect truck and load materials, verifying load accuracy.
+ Set up job parameters and inspect sites for safe unloading conditions.
+ Unload trucks at site, which involves setting up barriers, occasionally lifting heavy shingles, and using a truck-mounted crane.
+ Demonstrate daily commitment to safety and adhere to all safety protocols while wearing appropriate PPE.
+ Maintain regular communication with dispatchers to ensure timely product delivery.
+ Report any potential hazards to branch management.
Essential Skills
+ Valid Class A/B CDL license in good standing with 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
+ NCCCO Crane Operator certification.
+ Experience operating a knuckle boom crane truck or similar equipment.
+ In-depth knowledge of crane operations, rigging techniques, and relevant safety regulations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Preferred experience driving a manual transmission truck and operating heavy equipment for unloading.
+ Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
+ Ability to effectively work both independently and in a team environment.

Work Environment
This role requires working outdoors and traveling throughout the Hampton Roads area. Operators must be comfortable working in all weather conditions and will be expected to adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hampton, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
