    Job Title: Machine Operator - 2nd and 3rd Shift

    Job Description

    This position involves producing plastic sheet products through various extrusion machines to meet customer specifications. The role requires startup/shutdown operations, troubleshooting, quality control inspection, proper packaging, material handling, and training processes. Once the machines are operational, they may run continuously for up to two weeks. Responsibilities include monitoring the machine and taking measurements every two hours, as well as using a forklift to handle pallets.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate and monitor extrusion machines to produce plastic sheet products.

    + Perform startup and shutdown operations.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues.

    + Conduct quality control inspections.

    + Handle packaging and material management.

    + Train and guide others in operational processes.

    + Monitor machine operations continuously and ensure proper functioning.

    + Use a forklift to move pallets approximately every 45 minutes.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-2 years of machine operating experience.

    + Ability to lift 40-50 lbs regularly.

    + Willingness to learn forklift operation if not already experienced.

    + Experience with machine operation, plastic extrusion, and troubleshooting.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in extrusion operations is preferred.

    + Any plastic industry experience is advantageous.

    Work Environment

     

    Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 2pm to 10pm with an additional shift premium. Optional overtime is available every other weekend. The facility is very clean, with a total of 32 employees ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment.

    This is a Permanent position based out of DEFOREST, Wisconsin.

    The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $56160.00/yr.
