Job Title: Mechanical Inspector

Job Description

Perform inspections on mechanical parts such as cylinders, pistons, and hydraulics. Conduct first article inspections and generate non-conformance reports. Ensure products align with purchase orders.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct inspections on various mechanical components including cylinders, pistons, and hydraulic systems.

+ Perform first article inspections to verify initial production samples meet all specifications.

+ Generate and maintain non-conformance reports to track product discrepancies.

+ Compare finished products to purchase orders to ensure all specifications are met.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in mechanical inspection techniques.

+ Experience with calipers and micrometers for quality inspection.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

+ Knowledge of precision measuring tools and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines).

+ At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience using height gauges.

+ Familiarity with in-process inspection procedures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Westbury, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.50 - $35.00/hr.
