Description

We are looking for a dedicated Tax Staff Accountant to join our clients team in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting and tax responsibilities while collaborating with supervisors, managers, and partners. The position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks effectively within deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diverse accounting, auditing, and tax assignments under the guidance of supervisors or managers.

• Prepare well-organized, concise work papers that include clear conclusions.

• Utilize firm-specific and industry-standard software to complete tasks efficiently.

• Assist with planning and scheduling engagements for clients.

• Analyze and interpret financial statements to support client needs.

• Develop positive relationships with client personnel and respond promptly to their inquiries.

• Ensure deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards in all deliverables.

• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client and firm information.

• Travel occasionally for client meetings, seminars, or out-of-town engagements.

• Commit to learning opportunities that enhance skills and take on challenging tasks to grow professionally.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or tax-related roles.

• Proficiency in preparing individual and corporate tax returns.

• Strong knowledge of tax preparation processes.

• Experience with CCH ProSystem Fx or similar accounting software.

• Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons, including tax season.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Commitment to maintaining high standards and confidentiality.
