Description We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a Contract-to-Permanent basis in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong expertise in financial operations and accounting processes. The successful candidate will contribute to the efficient handling of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations within a dynamic construction industry environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.

• Oversee accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment collection.

• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate general ledger records.

• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure financial accuracy.

• Administer payroll for approximately 100 employees, ensuring compliance with regulations.

• Handle vendor relations by addressing inquiries and resolving payment discrepancies.

• Collaborate with team members to support monthly and annual financial reporting.

• Utilize Sage accounting software, including Sage 100 and Sage 300, to manage financial data.

• Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting operations. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting roles, particularly within the construction or contractor industry.

• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

• Ability to prepare and post journal entries accurately.

• Strong skills in bank reconciliations and credit card statement management.

• Familiarity with payroll processing for medium-sized organizations.

• Proficiency in Sage accounting software, including Sage 100 and Sage 300.

• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in financial documentation.

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to manage vendor relations effectively.
