Senior Cost Accountant/ Analyst - Manufacturing

Our client is looking to add a strong senior cost accountant/ analyst to their team! In this role, you will play a key part in analyzing and managing costs within a manufacturing environment. Your expertise will be essential in optimizing financial operations and driving strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and manage standard costing systems to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cost-effective strategies.

• Prepare and monitor budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Evaluate manufacturing costs and provide actionable insights to enhance efficiency.

• Reconcile cost discrepancies and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

• Generate reports to support decision-making processes across departments.

• Review and update cost accounting procedures to reflect best practices.

• Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and long-term planning.

• Ensure accurate allocation of costs across products and services.

Requirements • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.

• Proven experience in manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing.

• Proficiency in analyzing financial data and generating reports.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

• Advanced knowledge of accounting software and tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Strong communication skills and ability to present financial information clearly.
