Robert Half is seeking an experienced Storage Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing enterprise storage solutions, with a focus on VMware environments, vSAN, PowerShell automation, and backup & recovery tools like Cohesity and Veeam. You will play a key role in ensuring data integrity, availability, and performance across virtualized environments.

+ 4+ years of experience in a Storage Engineer or similar IT infrastructure role.

+ Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and vSAN administration.

+ Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.

+ Practical knowledge of Cohesity or Veeam backup and recovery solutions.

+ Solid understanding of storage protocols (iSCSI, NFS, FC) and RAID levels.

+ Familiarity with performance monitoring and capacity planning tools.

+ Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Requirements

Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise storage systems, primarily focused on VMware vSphere, vSAN, and associated platforms.

Implement and manage software-defined storage (SDS) solutions using vSAN.

Automate storage-related tasks and reporting using PowerShell scripting.

Administer backup and recovery operations using Cohesity and Veeam, including backup job configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and restoration testing.

Monitor storage performance, usage, and capacity planning to ensure optimal resource utilization.

Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing, ensuring robust data protection strategies.

Collaborate with virtualization, networking, and application teams to align storage services with business needs.
