About the role This position is responsible for performing set-up, in-process, and final inspections on bill of material products and finished goods produced in assigned areas of responsibility. The goal of this position is to support manufacturing with 100% defect free production while adhering to established costs. Responsibilities Verifies all production set-ups are made correctly and conform to established standards for quality Performs surveillance inspection during production, to include, but not limited to pre- and final testing Conducts final audits following established procedures to verify product quality prior to customer shipment Completes all necessary paperwork in accordance with established procedures Maintains quality records for assigned areas Assists manufacturing employees with analysis and problem solving as needed Issues work orders as necessary Conducts inventory audits Assists in screening non-conforming materials as requested Supports process scrap analysis Pulling inventory, assembling and soldering of all custom PC boards, as needed for assigned upcoming systems Programming of specific integrated circuit chips, as needed for controls Final testing of systems before shipment to customer Qualifications Must be capable and profiecient in the use of using basic electronic testing and electrical measuring devices and tools Must have the ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing in the English language Must have excellent sight, hearing and verbal communication skills both in person and on the telephone along with the eye, hand and body coordination necessary to efficiently operate any assigned equipment within the department and/or warehouse Proficiency in hand soldering for through-hole and surface mount circuit board.
