The **Building Automation Service Specialist – Digital Service Center** will be responsible for executing remote technical service offerings for Siemens Smart Infrastructure (SI) customers with a strong concentration in supporting Siemens’ cloud-based energy and data analytics platforms. This includes remote system maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks, small project execution, and basic building automation system trouble shooting. Typical performed functions include configuring the building automation system to send data to cloud based analytics platform, correcting defects in data collection, investigating faults found by analytics. You will also be responsible for determining corrective action, taking corrective action, and then verifying proper operation after taking corrective action.
This position remotely supports our customers and will be based out of a remote Digital Service Location. No relocation assistance is provided.
As a Building Automation Service Specialist – Digital Service Centers, you will:
+ Troubleshoot any network, software, programming and/or system malfunctions remotely with primary emphasis and knowledge of Siemens Building Automation Systems and integrated products including HVAC and related building systems.
+ Investigate and evaluate event alarms and fault conditions, operating BACS (Building Automation Control Systems) to make corrective operational and programming changes.
+ Perform system preventive maintenance tasks
+ Perform Initial set up tasks and data configuration, lifecycle improvement maintenance and corrective action tasks for Data Driven Services and Software as a Service applications
+ Understanding of building automation networks, architecture and communication protocols, PC and Server software
+ Implement remediation measures for operational improvements and energy saving measures
+ Maintain current documentation on all work performed and timekeeping records
+ Manage cRSP VPN connections and perform Navigator data acquisition methods installation and setup
+ Run diagnostic tools, performance tools and customer reports
+ Perform Proven Outcomes configuration and reporting
+ Administer online data base backup tools and reports
+ Work with customer IT administrators to explain and install Siemens tools used to pull data from customer networks
+ Use and manage software tools used to access Siemens BACS systems to perform corrective or PM maintenance
+ Complaint handling and customer communication and satisfaction
+ Provide assistance and collaboration for other Digital Service Specialists, Digital Service Engineers and Field Service Specialists
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
+ High school degree, state-recognized GED, or state-recognized high school proficiency exam
+ 3+ years of technical experience in directly related field required
+ Prior Building Automation Controls experience and strong industry knowledge, preferably Siemens controls with Siemens Building Technologies experience
+ HVAC training and working knowledge of complex HVAC systems, point database and configuration, IT networks and software configuration
+ Ability to work independently and complete all assigned tasks
+ Ability to work from home in a remote role
+ Competent ability to provide detailed written analysis and technical service reports
+ Ability to collaborate with and teach and coach team members
+ Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Batchelor Degree and/or Associates degree or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred, related military experience and technical field training covering the required skills for this role
+ Specialized skill training/certification may be required
