We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Secretary to join our medical practice. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to our healthcare team, ensuring smooth and efficient office operations. Your contributions will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the delivery of high-quality care.
Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
+ Front Desk Support: Greet patients, answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
+ Patient Records Management: Maintain accurate patient files, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with privacy regulations (HIPAA).
+ Billing and Insurance: Assist with billing processes, including insurance verification, coding, and processing claims. Follow up on unpaid claims and communicate with patients regarding their billing.
+ Document Management: Prepare and maintain documents such as patient forms, consent forms, and referral letters. Handle correspondence between patients, physicians, and other medical professionals.
+ Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate patient appointments, tests, and procedures, ensuring accurate scheduling while balancing physician availability and patient needs.
+ Data Entry: Accurately enter patient information into the electronic health record (EHR) system. Update patient details as necessary.
+ Office Supplies Management: Monitor and order office supplies and medical inventory to ensure smooth operations.
+ Patient Check-In/Check-Out: Facilitate the check-in and check-out process, ensuring that patients have completed necessary forms and understand their next steps.
+ Administrative Support: Provide clerical support to physicians and other staff, including assisting with document preparation, filing, and other administrative tasks.
+ Compliance and Confidentiality: Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or higher preferred).
+ Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
+ Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
+ Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is a plus.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
+ Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Salary Range
USD $21.00 - USD $31.00 /Hr.
