    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly qualified **Senior Project Manager** to oversee, coordinate, and communicate all Public Safety-related technology projects. This role will manage day-to-day operations of Public Safety initiatives and ensure successful delivery of projects in alignment with County objectives. **This role will be a full-time contract and hybrid onsite in Baltimore.**

     

    This position follows a hybrid schedule, with up to two remote workdays per week (approximately 40% remote and 60% onsite). Onsite work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Fully remote or out-of-state employment is not authorized.

    What You'll Do

    + Lead and manage large-scale Public Safety technology projects with high visibility and sensitivity

    + Track progress, identify risks/issues, and recommend effective mitigation strategies

    + Ensure all project deliverables align with scope, requirements, timelines, and budgets

    + Develop project documentation consistent with PMI standards and across the SDLC

    + Monitor and resolve project issues while maintaining timely status updates for stakeholders

    + Facilitate productive project meetings, including agenda preparation and handouts

    + Create and deliver executive-level presentations and communications

     

    What You'll Need

    Required:

    + At least seven (7) years of successful project management experience in high-profile initiatives

    + Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience

    + Active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

    + Demonstrated expertise in business process implementations, software/hardware upgrades, and using Agile/Waterfall methodologies

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word

    + Exceptional organizational, coordination, and time management skills

    + Strong oral and written communication skills

    Preferred:

    + Experience managing projects with Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint

    + Previous experience working for government entities (Federal, State, or Local)

    + Familiarity with Public Safety systems development, management, and communication

    + Ability to pass a Baltimore County Police Department background check

    Physical Demands

    + Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

    + Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

    + Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

    $96-$106 per hour

    The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role receive paid time off and may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
