    Payroll Systems Analyst (Contract)

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Payroll Systems Analyst to support the administration and optimization of global payroll platforms. This role involves managing system configurations, maintaining databases, and ensuring seamless execution of payroll-related processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with time and attendance systems, payroll processing, and HR platforms, and will be adept at troubleshooting, documentation, and user support.

     

    The analyst will play a key role in maintaining system integrity, supporting data interfaces, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. Responsibilities also include developing test scripts, deploying application changes, and delivering training to internal teams. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as the role involves cross-functional engagement and technical documentation.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Administer global payroll systems including scheduling, database maintenance, and upgrades.

    + Configure and maintain payroll system elements such as pay rules, accruals, schedules, time clocks, wage types, holiday calendars, and year-end requirements.

    + Ensure business processes run smoothly and support data integrations.

    + Conduct audits to maintain system integrity and identify areas for improvement.

    + Develop and execute test scripts for regression testing and system updates.

    + Provide support to end-users and resolve system-related issues.

    + Serve as a liaison between business units to enhance understanding of payroll technologies.

    + Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to align on expectations and deliverables.

    + Create and maintain technical documentation including requirements and operational procedures.

    + Promote efficiency, data accuracy, and system security.

    + Design and deliver training sessions for internal teams.

    Required Skills & Experience

    + 3–5 years of experience in payroll and HR systems.

    + Hands-on experience with platforms such as Kronos, UKG Pro, UltiPro, and SAP.

    + Background in large-scale environments (5,000+ employees), preferably in industries with complex time and expense tracking needs.

    + Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with time and attendance systems and shift premiums.

    + Familiarity with payroll processing, tax reconciliation, and compliance.

    + Experience with SAP as a general ledger and HR platform.

    Work Environment

    + Fully remote position with flexible location.

    + Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm EST.

    + Collaboration with global teams across North America and Europe.

    + Occasional travel may be required.

    + Contract duration: 3–6 months, covering a temporary leave.

    + Comprehensive SOPs are in place to support onboarding and daily operations.

    + Contract (Remote)

    + Location: Flexible, with occasional travel to the Northeastern U.S. if needed.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
