Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist who has experience using Tipalti ERP for invoice processing to ensure the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable invoices. In this role, you will prepare batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions, and manage the accounts payable inbox alongside team members. As a key point of contact for inquiries, you will maintain courteous communication with both internal and external vendors and departments. Your efforts will drive efficiencies and improvements in accordance with SOX compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

+ Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable invoices.

+ Prepare batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.

+ Manage the accounts payable inbox with team members.

+ Serve as a key point of contact for accounts payable inquiries.

+ Maintain timely and courteous communication with vendors and departments.

+ Drive efficiencies and improvements for accounts payable processes in accordance with SOX compliance requirements.

+ Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

+ File, maintain, and distribute accounting documents, records, and reports.

+ Investigate and resolve problems associated with invoice processing.

+ Perform other duties to support the accounting department.

Essential Skills

+ Proven experience in accounts payable and invoice processing.

+ Strong data entry skills.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with intermediate to advanced knowledge.

+ Experience with Tipalti and processing 1,500+ invoices monthly.

+ Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Strong organizational and time management skills.

+ Detail-oriented with a strong customer service focus.

+ Proactive problem-solving abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 4+ years of accounts payable experience, including handling high volumes (2,000+ invoices/month).

+ Tipalti ERP experience required for invoice processing

+ Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, or related field preferred.

+ Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and Word.

+ Scheduling flexibility and ability to work overtime as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Everett, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
