Job Title: Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

+ Conduct monthly forecasting and accrual management.

+ Coordinate with vendors for forecasts and actuals.

+ Develop Excel-based financial modeling and perform variance analysis.

+ Ensure accuracy within a ±5% tolerance on a ~$2.5M monthly burn rate.

+ Support capital forecasting (excluding O&M).

+ Collaborate with workstream leads and the financial controller.

+ Use Business Objects and SharePoint to gather actuals and forecasts.

+ Maintain and update Excel templates for financial tracking.

+ Coordinate with vendors to collect forecast data and accruals.

+ Finalize forecasts by the fifth business day each month.

+ Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts.

+ Ensure compliance with accrual deadlines and internal processes.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in forecasting, financial analysis, and financial reporting.

+ Experience in budgeting, reconciliation, and finance.

+ Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ At least 1 year of financial experience.

+ Demonstrated experience in team environments.

+ Ability to meet deadlines and deliver accurate work.

+ Comfortable with ambiguity and detail-oriented.

Work Environment

You will work in a small, collaborative team currently consisting of one Financial Analyst. The team fosters a supportive culture with opportunities for growth and cross-functional exposure. The new hire will receive training from the current analyst and hiring manager. This is a long-term project running through 2028, with extensions reevaluated annually. The role is hybrid, with onsite work required in Roseville, MN on specific days.

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $33.65/hr.
