The Opportunity:

As a Food Commercial Representative on the Consumer team, your role is to successfully execute the consumer strategy by selling Smurfit Westrock food solutions to targeted accounts as well as to support the current base of accounts. Additional responsibilities include efficiently managing current customer relationships and navigating the Smurfit Westrock organization to provide solutions for our existing customers as well as newly targeted prospects.

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

* Providing in-depth knowledge of the food industry, including fiber-based packaging and automated equipment offered by Smurfit Westrock and competitors

* Coordinate with existing customers to meet their ongoing food packaging needs including field carton technical service and support

* Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of Smurfit Westrock products and pricing structure to resolve inquiries and issues with customer accounts

* Working with the broader Carton Commercial team, execute account strategies for new and existing customers to create tailored customer experiences

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout Smurfit Westrock to identify value-add opportunities to improve margins

* Focus on improving the responsiveness to customer needs and "make it easy to do business with Smurfit Westrock"

* Communicate new Smurfit Westrock innovations to existing customers

What you need to succeed:

* Minimum of 5-7 years of sales experience in a manufacturing/packaging industry

* Strong customer focus and support

* Proven account management (or other sales/customer service) experience

* Excellent (verbal and written) communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization

* Excellent organizational and time-management skills (Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail)

* Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs

* Outstanding knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Salesforce and Copilot AI knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles

* BA/BS degree in related field

* Self-motivated, ability to juggle multiple and shifting priorities

* Ability to navigate the internal organization on critical challenges

* Willingness to travel 50%+ by air and car
