    Position Overview:

    Set up and check Equipment, prepares patient and administers non-invasive cardiac exams as directed by physician, following established procedures.

     

    **Job Description** :

    JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

    + Prepares and sets-up equipment to ensure interpretable results; explains methods and procedure to patient; evaluates patient’s total condition throughout the test. Selects and operates equipment as directed.

    + Records and calculates all necessary parameters and performs ECG tracings for diagnostic purposes.

    + Sets up and checks equipment for cardiac testing and administers exam to patients.

    + Reviews and evaluates completed tests for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered; ensures quality images.

    + Participates in the coordination of ambulatory ECG monitor program; sends record of the patient monitor usage for billing to central office for processing; prepare Cardiology reports for physician’s evaluation.

    + Performs tests with portable equipment in patient room when necessary.

    + Obtains patient history, answers patients question. Positions patient on table and explains basic procedure. Positions and transfers patients comfortably. Observe patient for any unusual reactions or events.

    + Maintains department records, reports, and files as required.

    + Maintains records of examination data and other pertinent information on patients.

    + Assists medical staff during special procedures.

    + Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.

    EDUCATION

    + _Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._

    + HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience

    + Other: Specialized training in cardiac procedures. Non-invasive cardiology exams

    CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

    + ARDMS-American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

    + OR RCS-Registered Cardiac Sonographer

    Pay Range is $61.28 to $79.97 / hour

     

    _The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
