    Description

    Our client is looking to bring on a Journeyman electrician to become a full time member of their Technical Services Team. Our client has created their own electrical team in house in order to support the power construction of their cell sites for their customers. The majority of the Dish and Segra sites are in the Baltimore area but need to be open to entire support area of 100 mile radius in every direction from BWI.

     

    Our client has acquired new work within the EV charging world so would really like this individual to have experience with installation of EV charging stations in addition to HVAC, generators, battery banks. Need to be customer facing, site surveys, blueprint reading/understanding, safety/code compliance, etc. Experience with fiber and low voltage is a huge plus!

     

    - The Journeyman electrician will be working hand in hand with the Master Electrician, supporting Dish Network cell site builds as well as Segra (fiber).

     

    - The Journeyman will be responsible for pulling wire, installing electrical panels on cell sites, and must have knowledge of AC/DC power. They will be working with mainly low volt cables and nothing more than 100amp - 400amp systems.

     

    - They need to have experience with conduit installation, NB+C uses mainly Rigid, EMT and PVC.

     

    - At times they may have an electrical helper or apprentice under their supervision so need to be able to lead and work with others.

     

    • Key Responsibilities

    • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, circuit breakers, and control systems in commercial settings and also in the Telecom field.

    • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete electrical installations accurately.

    • Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, circuit testers) to identify and resolve faults in systems or equipment.

    • Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, and OSHA safety regulations.

    • Operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment: conduit benders, wire pullers, or power tools, safely and efficiently.

    • Mentor and train apprentices or less experienced electricians, provide guidance on techniques, safety, and code compliance.

    • Work with contractors, project managers, other trades and also engage/interact with existing clients

    • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to identify potential hazards, such as faulty wiring or overloaded circuits.

    • Maintain accurate records: work logs, material inventories, and inspection reports.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    - They need to have a solid work ethic, great communication skills and the desire to grow their knowledge in the electrical field and telecommunications space.

     

    - experience working underground, on rooftops a big plus

    - Low Volt and Medium Volt experience (high volt is a plus)

    • Qualifications

    • Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program.

    • Valid journeyman electrician license or certification.

    • Minimum of 4–6 years of hands-on experience as a journeyman electrician post-apprenticeship.

    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, NEC standards, and safety protocols (e.g., OSHA 10 or 30 certification).

    • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.

    • Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.), climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights.

    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

    • High school diploma or GED; vocational training or associate degree in electrical technology preferred.

    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

     

    Familiarity with specialized systems (e.g., low-voltage, HVAC controls, or general Telecom equipment) is a plus.

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
