The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) currently manages the delivery of IT infrastructure services to 89 Executive Branch agencies and managed network services to more than 1,200 state and local government entities. IT infrastructure services encompass mainframes, servers, service desk, end user computing, disaster recovery and security. Managed network services include the state’s wide and local area networks, voice, cable and wiring, and conferencing services.

JOB SUMMARY: The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Coordinator (Artificial Intelligence), to support the growth and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across state government. This role will work closely with the Program Manager, AI and the Project Manager, AI to coordinate enterprise-wide AI tools, AI workshops, manage tool licenses, track usage, and support coordinating pilot projects that test new AI solutions. The Coordinator, AI will serve as a critical link between the Office of Artificial Intelligence and state agencies, ensuring tools and practices are effectively deployed, understood, and aligned with statewide AI standards.
This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work across multiple agencies, and a customer-success mindset. The ideal candidate understands how state agencies operate and is skilled at outreach, relationship management, and project coordination.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
AI Tool and License Coordination
• Maintain an inventory of AI tools used across the enterprise.
• Manage AI licenses, renewals, and access across agencies.
• Monitor usage and ensure compliance with GTA AI policies and standards.
Pilot Project Coordination
• Support the intake, selection, and tracking of pilot project use cases.
• Coordinate timelines, reporting, and outcomes with participating agencies.
• Document lessons learned and assist in developing enterprise AI best practices.
Outreach and Agency Engagement
• Serve as a primary point of contact for agencies exploring AI adoption.
• Conduct outreach to ensure agencies are aware of AI program opportunities and resources.
• Support agency staff in onboarding and effective use of approved AI tools.
Reporting and Administration
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of AI usage and pilots.
• Provide regular reports to the AI Manager on progress, adoption, and risks.
Assist in preparing briefing materials for leadership, councils, and oversight bodies.
AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Core Competencies:
• Understanding of Georgia state agency structures, budget cycles, procurement, and governance processes.
• Experience coordinating directly with state agencies or departments.
• Skill in building and maintaining trust-based working relationships across agencies.
• Ability to communicate technical and emerging technology concepts in plain language.
• Experience supporting cross-agency initiatives, pilots, or statewide programs.
• Familiarity with GTA policies, enterprise standards, and statewide AI and digital accessibility requirements.
• Experience serving as a point of contact for agencies and supporting customer success.
• Ability to assist agencies with change management, outreach, and onboarding to new tools.
• Experience maintaining inventories, tracking enterprise tool usage, and managing centralized records.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field AND Two (2) years in project coordination, data analysis, or related technology role WITH Experience working with AI or machine learning tools .
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in complex environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: (Preference will be given to candidates who, demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience):
• Experience working in or with state government agencies.
• Familiarity with enterprise software license management.
• Knowledge of AI concepts, emerging technologies, or digital transformation in government.
• Experience in change management or technology adoption strategies.
• Knowledge of data privacy laws and ethical considerations in AI.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Familiarity with AI concepts, tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Power BI), and applications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile) or AI-related technologies.

Worker Type: Hybrid – (in-office: 2-3 days per week)
Target Hiring Salary Range: * $53,100 - $73,853
*Current Georgia state government employees will be subject to SPB rule provisions.
