_This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in high-speed packaging and automation controls, passionate about process improvement and innovation in the medical device sector._
Pay: Market Rate (depending on experience)
Schedule: M-F Normal Business hours
Responsibilities:
+ Designing manufacturing processes, production layouts, and equipment installation plans
+ Developing efficient plant layouts and adapting equipment to meet production needs
+ Ensuring all engineering solutions comply with cGMP, SOPs, and safety standards
+ Supporting installation, startup, and validation of new automation systems
+ Developing user/design requirements and working with vendors on custom equipment builds
+ Troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and inspection/vision systems
+ Providing advanced technical support to Automation Technicians when needed
+ Identifying opportunities to improve equipment efficiency, flexibility, quality, and reliability
+ Leading small capital projects, including equipment specification, procurement, and implementation
+ Managing change control and root cause analysis for automation-related CAPAs or investigations
+ Implementing automation upgrades based on manufacturing non-conformance (MNC) or CAPA outcomes
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
+ High-speed packaging experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Strong background in controls systems including PLCs, SCADA, and HMI programming
+ Ability to work in a GMP-regulated environment and follow strict compliance protocols
+ Willingness to support a 24/7 plant operation.
