When will I work?
The primary work hours for this position are 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime required as needed.
Where is this opportunity located?
This position is located in Redwood Falls, Minnesota i n our Redwood Falls Manufacturing department.
What will the work look like for me?
As an Electronics Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and performance of our display systems. Your responsibilities will include:
+ Inspect, test, and troubleshoot Printed Circuit Boards, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and displays under the direction of a supervisor and test engineer. Perform these tasks using the applicable drawings, schematics, and parts lists, in addition to test procedures written for the product under test. This includes configuring enclosures and loading firmware and software.
+ Perform soldering repairs on circuit boards and modules.
+ Assist in training and developing others as defined by supervisors.
+ Input repair data into tracking software, Aegis.
+ Effectively operate within the Glovia ERP software environment.
+ Collaborate with other areas of manufacturing to identify and resolve defects and identify and implement improvements to increase the overall quality of the product.
+ Assist in maintaining, reviewing and updating existing test procedures as well as assist in part or in total with developing and implementing new test procedures.
+ Work to reduce scrap and rework in testing area.
+ Follow defined escalation process, as determined by supervisor.
+ Communicate effectively with your supervisor and test engineer in order to improve processes.
+ Follow leader guidance, for example - determining repair priorities.
+ Meet expected work pace goals, maintaining quality and safety standards.
+ Ensure that systems being shipped meet the quality and performance requirements.
+ Be safety conscious at all times when performing testing or troubleshooting operations.
+ Learn Daktronics products, systems, and processes. Become knowledgeable of company policies and procedures.
+ Work regular hours and the necessary overtime. Your skill set is limited to a few technicians, so flexibility is required when a business need arises. This could lead to additional overtime hours and alternate shifts.
+ If supervisor has a need for you to work outside of your role, on the flow line for example, when a business need arises, flexibility is expected and required.
+ Perform other duties as assigned and needed to meet customer and department expectations set forth by the supervisor.
What are the pay and perks?
The typical hiring range for this position is $25.00 to $26.00 per hour based on the location of Redwood Falls, Minnesota. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including relevant education, experiences, location, and applicable local legislation.

Qualifications
To be considered for the Electronics Technician position, we require the following:
+ Two-year Associate degree in Electronics, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a similar technical field is required.
+ Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting to the component level on through hole and Surface Mount Technology.
+ Possess basic computer skills, including keyboarding, Excel, and Glovia ERP.
+ Good communication skills, including technical writing.
+ Ability to successfully participate as a member of a team and interact with a variety of individuals in a positive, professional manner.
+ Regularly and reliably work the scheduled hours, including scheduled overtime.
+ Ability to exhibit self-motivation and organization to plan, execute, and document work.
+ Ability to work with minimum supervision, effectively exercising discretion and independent judgment.
+ Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work area in accordance with Daktronics Safety Policy and OSHA standards. Items may include safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, hearing protection, and electrostatic discharge wear. You will be provided the PPE for the required areas.
+ Physical requirements include the ability to:
+ Work in an environment with these types of smells: paint, solvent, and solder.
+ Move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
+ Remain in a stationary position for the full shift with planned breaks. The duration between breaks varies from 2-3 ½ hours depending on work area.
+ Work from heights, including working from ladders and platforms.
+ Have full range of motion (including but not limited to bending and lifting).
+ Reach in all directions (up, down, side-to-side, and diagonal reaching), including some awkward positions.
+ Maintain steady hand/eye coordination.
+ Identify wire and paint colors.
+ Read fine print.
+ Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
+ Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
