• Systems Engineer

    **MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Systems Engineer** to join our team in **Patuxent River, MD** . This is an **onsite** position.

     

    This position supports the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Systems Engineering Department (SED). This is an opportunity to be part of a team that plays a crucial role in keeping our nation’s military safe and mission successful.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    + Performing programmatic or technical knowledge by identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems

    + Guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems

    + Employing systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems

    + Performing software acquisition functions, requirements management, and the understanding of software workflow

    + Performing software requirements broken down into systems requirements

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university

    + 3+ years of recent and relevant experience

    + Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise

    Clearance Requirements:

    + Must have an active Secret security clearance.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Tasking is primarily computer based. The person in this position must be able to operate and perform tasking on a PC as well as operate other typical office equipment (e.g. copying machine, shredder, projection systems, etc.).

    + Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, Customers, and management through email, phone, and other virtual communication methods (e.g. TEAMS, ZOOM).
