Location/Division Specific Information
The Cell Therapy (CTx) site in San Francisco, CA, is our newest facility. Recently commissioned, it has 45,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space, complete with Quality Control labs, analytical and process development labs, and a co-lab space where we partner with external companies to drive discovery. Located in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood, this is an exciting opportunity to support industrial manufacturing within a thriving city.
Discover Impactful Work:
Lead daily operations, check systems, do PMs, and repair HVAC, utilities equipment to avoid downtime. Communicate daily with Engineering Management for maintenance priorities. Partake in "On-Call" duties for 24/7 Maintenance support. Day shift M-F (7:00AM-3:30PM) On-Site.
A Day in the Life:
+ Perform daily system checks and adjustments on HVAC, facility and utilities, including boilers, gas bottles, LN2 freezers, compressed air and air handlers, exhaust fans, chilled water and chiller systems.
+ Perform commissioning activities of utility connections in a clean room environment.
+ Perform routine PMs and submit WOs on all facility and utility systems.
+ Demonstrate good decision making with regards to safety, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), daily support, operational and maintenance activities, prioritization of on-going activities
+ Read and understand Job Safety Assessments (JSAs) and perform new assessments on new and existing tasks.
+ Perform Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) Assessments and mitigations.
+ Provide maintenance support of systems by facilitating vendors to fix corrective maintenance issues, including contacting and scheduling external vendors, escorting vendors, gaining access to systems, providing management with quotations for purchase of services.
Keys to Success:
Education
+ High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
+ HVAC certification will be prioritized, as well as Instrumentation and Electrical certifications from vocational schools (preferred).
Experience
+ 3-5 years of work experience required.
+ Hands-on experience with GMP’s and familiarity with following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
+ Experience working with BMS (Building Management Systems).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
+ Possess basic knowledge of electronics, strong solving abilities, and the ability to read wiring diagrams, P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams), one-line diagrams, etc
+ Ability to aseptically gown and/or sterile gown as needed.
+ Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed to maintain facilities, utilities and process equipment.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
+ Ability to walk, stand for 4 hours, up to 8 hours daily, squat, stoop, kneel, bend, twist, climb ladders, lift 50 lbs 4 feet high.
+ General physical requirements include lifting, standing, climbing, and hand manipulations.
+ Working overtime as needed

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $26.18–$39.27.
