About the role

We’re looking for a seasoned Senior .NET Developer to join our team and drive the development of scalable batch processes and API integrations. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in .NET Core, C#, and database technologies, who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys solving complex technical challenges. You’ll play a key role in building robust backend systems that support critical workflows in healthcare applications.

In this role, you will:

• Design and develop scalable .NET Core-based batch processes

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration across subsystems

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry best practices

• Participate in peer code reviews and offer constructive feedback

• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues and bugs

• Understand claims workflows to support core system functionality

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements

What you need to have to be considered

• 8+ years of professional experience in .NET Core and C# development

• Strong knowledge of SQL, Oracle, and MongoDB

• Hands-on experience with .NET Core Entity Framework and basic JavaScript

• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles

• Familiarity with Git and Agile development methodologies

• Prior experience working on healthcare applications

• Proven ability to work across teams and communicate effectively with business stakeholders

• Experience optimizing batch processes for performance and scalability

• A proactive mindset with a passion for clean architecture and continuous improvement

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $65,447 to $117,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
