    The Licensed Clinical Social Worker collaborates with themulti-disciplinary team to provide input in the development of the plan of carefor those patients/clients requiring social work intervention. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker providescounseling and crisis intervention to patients/clients who have social oremotional problems in a variety of settings across the age span.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Master’s degree in Social Work from a school of social workaccredited by the Council on Social Work Education required

    + Active license as an LCSW in state of practice required

    + Minimum of one year of social work experience preferred

    + Current CPR if applicable

    + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

    + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

    + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age

    4 Kids 2 Kids is a non-profit organization working with young survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and/or sexual abuse trauma in a residential facility. 4 Kids 2 Kids offers a therapeutic and trauma-informed environment that nurtures survivors of abuse and exploitation while they engage in mental health services, including individual, group, and family therapy, skills development, mentorship opportunities, and community-based activities. Our program is designed to assist survivors with addressing mental health disorders and co-occurring addiction associated with the trauma of sexual exploitation. Here at 4 kids 2 kids, we strive to provide the best treatment available and take pride in the work we do with struggling teens.

     

    This position is full time from 11am-7pm

     

    Expected hours: 40 per week

     

    This position is primarily located approx. 15 minutes north of Ventura, CA.

    OVERALL FUNCTION:

    The Residential Therapist will be responsible for primarily conducting individual, group therapy sessions, completing timely documentation, and client care coordination. The Residential Therapist may also conduct client assessments, individual, and/or family therapy sessions, assist with the development of client treatment plans and skills-based group curriculum, and participate in client intakes and/or discharges.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Conduct individual & group therapy sessions in the late afternoons/evenings on a variety of topics, including, but not limited to Seeking Safety, Process, Healthy Relationships, Coping Skills and Mindfullness

    • Complete timely documentation in SBWell EHR for Medi-Cal billing.

    • Participate in treatment team meetings to assist with ensuring clients are provided with individualized mental health services.

    • Assist direct care specialists with providing skills-based rehabilitation services.

    • Provide crisis intervention and safety planning as needed.

    • Report to Head of Services.

    • File Suspected Child Abuse and Law Enforcement reports when needed.

    • Assess, evaluate, and provide mental health and/or substance abuse services including individual, group and family therapy/counseling, and crisis intervention services for persons with serious mental illness or youth with serious emotional disturbance utilizing culturally sensitive, client/family-centered, strength-based, wellness and recovery models of service delivery.

    • Participate in training on various topics such as cultural competency, clinical practice, compliance, treatment planning, trauma-informed treatment, co-occurring disorders and substance abuse.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Possess a master’s degree in one of the following areas: Marriage & Family Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Clinical Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling, Social Work with an emphasis on Clinical Social Work OR other equivalent master’s degree from a college or university approved by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Behavioral Science. Must be working towards licensure.

    • Possess an Masters degree (MSW, LCSW, LMFT or AMFT).

    • Possess active registration through the Board of Behavioral Science by date of hire

    • Clear Live Scan background check or possess a current Criminal Exemption.

    • Current CPR/First Aid Certifications.

    • Have a working knowledge of Crisis Intervention strategies and training.

    • Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.

    As we are an essential service, the majority of this position is in-person. We have regular screening and disinfecting procedures in place. All interviews will be via Zoom.
