Application Architect - Aws Cloud Migration

CTG is seeking to fill an Application Consultant – AWS Cloud Migration position for our client in Jersey City, NJ.
**Duration:** 11 months
Duties:
+ Lead and design migration architecture solutions for multi-cloud environments, primarily AWS, with additional exposure to Azure and ICP.
+ Develop and implement migration solutions for hybrid cloud platforms, including on-premise, off-premise, and dedicated cloud.
+ Define and manage migration strategies, tools, network requirements, and migration pathways for applications, databases, and integration components.
+ Evaluate and select appropriate migration tools and methodologies for various migration types (rehost, refactor, rearchitect, replatform, containerization, etc.).
+ Conduct workshops on migration methodologies and tailor approaches to specific client environments and industries.
+ Provide SME-level guidance to migration project managers on technical elements, including WBS, estimation, risk, dependencies, and MVP definitions.
+ Translate client application deployment requirements into AWS platform-specific services and configurations.
Skills:
+ Strong expertise in AWS Cloud architecture, migration tools, and methodologies.
+ Hands-on experience with hybrid and multi-cloud migration (AWS, Azure, ICP).
+ Proficiency in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
+ Familiarity with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
+ Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and client-facing communication skills.
Experience:
+ 8+ years of IT experience with at least 4+ years focused on cloud migration and architecture.
+ Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale cloud migration solutions.
+ Experience leading technical teams in cloud transformation projects.
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
+ AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional) strongly preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
