CTG is seeking to fill an Application Consultant - Mainframe Modernization position for our client in New Castle, DE.

**Duration:** 12 months

Duties:

+ Provide applied knowledge of a wide range of concepts and technologies associated with Mainframe and Mainframe Modernization.

+ Lead and mentor a technical team to implement strategies and roadmaps for in-place mainframe modernization and migration of mainframe applications to z-cloud.

+ Support mainframe-related aspects of migration projects to other cloud platforms.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure modernization initiatives meet business and technical requirements.

+ Analyze existing mainframe applications, identify modernization opportunities, and recommend solutions.

Skills:

+ Deep understanding of mainframe systems, architectures, and modernization strategies.

+ Experience with migration of mainframe workloads to cloud platforms, including z-cloud.

+ Strong technical leadership, mentoring, and team collaboration skills.

+ Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

+ Familiarity with industry best practices for mainframe modernization.

Experience:

+ Hands-on experience with mainframe modernization projects and migrations to cloud.

+ Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams in modernization efforts.

+ Practical knowledge of mainframe tools, languages, and platforms (e.g., COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS, JCL).

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
